Our story began in 1980, at the heart of the island of Sri Lanka. We were a small, family-run travel business with an insatiable love for the island's hideaways the world needed to see. For almost twenty years, we led travelers through sun-drenched beaches, crowded markets of local flavours, and temple courtyards humming with quiet devotion, until life carried us elsewhere in 1999.
Years later, the tale breathed new life across the seas in the UK, when Adnan Rajabdeen (CEO, Escape to Sri Lanka) rekindled it. Amid hotel school lectures and a BA in Hospitality Management at the University of Derby, his student life included an extracurricular activity. He began organising small trips for friends, couples, and families. This occasional enterprise eventually took on a new shape: a growing, trusted name that fostered cultural discovery and served as a canvas for memories.
By 2012, Escape to Sri Lanka Tours had risen a new. These modest initiatives paved the way for us to become a trusted guide for travelers from the UK, India, the UAE, Europe, and beyond. Built on word of mouth and an unwavering devotion to authenticity, we design journeys that stay on your mind long after the last sunset fades.
